Aida Pereira

Services for Aida Pereira 82, of Belton, formally of Killeen, will be at 2 PM March 23, 2012, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, followed by burial at Killeen City Cemetery.
Ms. Pereira died March 19, 2012. She was born Oct. 14, 1929 in Tampa,
Florida. She came to Killeen in 1958 with her husband, Gonzalo J. Pereira whom was in
the U.S. Army and retired in Killeen. She worked at Sugar Loaf Elementary School in Killeen,
and was retired from Killeen Independent School District. She was a member of the Killeen and Copperas Cove riding and roping club from 1979 to 1990. She loved and enjoyed riding her horses. She also enjoyed bowling and spending time with her family and grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gonzalo J. Pereira, June 26, 1971 parents Eugene and Zoila Fernandez and her three brothers.
Survivors include her son, Richard J. Pereira and his wife, Carolyn of Salado, daughter, Aida Jean Brinegar and her husband Gary of Belton six grandchildren, Robert J. Pereira of Salado, Randall J. Pereira of Tyndall A.F.B., Florida, Patricia Trueblood,
Tony Brinegar, Sandy Brinegar Moffatt, and Kristy Nagley of Belton twelve Great
Grandchildren and three Great, Great Grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations of your choice to Scott White Hospice, National Diabetes Association ,or the American Heart Association. Visitation is from 6 to 8 pm Thursday March 22, at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen.
