Albert Harold Mudd, Jr.

Albert Harold Mudd, Jr., age 74 of Killeen, passed from this life Thursday, April 18, 2024, at home. Graveside services will be held at 11 am Tuesday, April 23, 2024, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen.

Albert was born on June 5, 1949, to Albert H. Mudd, Sr. and Florence Smith in Gonzales, Texas. He graduated from Gonzales High School and was a veteran of the United States Army. Albert was a devoted husband, father, brother, and grandpa. He prioritized the needs of his family and friends and was there anytime someone needed him. He was someone you could always count on. Albert enjoyed golf and had a great sense of humor. He loved making everyone laugh, especially his grandchildren. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Killeen and was a faithful man of Christ. He loved Jesus with all his heart. Worshipping Him was his favorite thing to do, often spending hours in prayer. He was an encourager, a protector, and a foundation to his family, and he will be greatly missed by all those who knew and loved him.

Albert is preceded in death by his parents.

Those left to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Yong C. Mudd; son, James L. Mudd and wife, Leslie; sister, Susie Lester; and 2 grandchildren, Jalen Chase Mudd, and Dominic Alexander Mudd.
