Alice “Allie” Faye Krebs passed away Saturday, May 3, 2025, at Seton Hospital with her husband of 50 years at her side.
Allie was born on February 20, 1946, to Max and Louise Geidl of Clarkston, Washington. She grew up in Clarkston and was active in junior and senior high school sports including softball, shotput competition, and springboard diving. In college, she earned a teaching certificate from Eastern Washington State University with the intent of teaching physical education.
In 1973, Allie joined the Army in the Women's Army Corps and moved on to the Intelligence Analyst Course at Fort Huachuca. She had assignments at Fort Holabird, Maryland, Fort Meade, Maryland, Seoul Korea, Wiesbaden Germany, and her final duty station at Fort Hood, Texas.
During retirement, she was a caregiver for her mother for over 20 years. She also was a substitute teacher with Killeen Independent School District and earned a nursing degree from Central Texas College. Allie was active in both the Kiwanis and Elks clubs. Most importantly, she had so much love for her First United Methodist Church in Killeen, where she found her real family and faith.
Survivors include her husband, Dale, and sister, Janese.
