Graveside funeral services for Arthur C. Huffman, Jr., 68, of Corsicana, formerly of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, with the Rev. David Lambert officiating. Burial with military honors will follow at the cemetery.
Mr. Huffman died Feb. 14, 2017, at his residence.
He was born March 29, 1948, at Camp Hood.
Mr. Huffman attended school in Killeen and served in the U.S. Marine Corps from 1965 through 1969. He served two tours in Vietnam, and retired from Firestone Tire Co. in Irving.
Arthur enjoyed taking his dog, Harley, on rides in his truck. He was an avid campfire builder and enjoyed the company of many friends.
Mr. Huffman was a member of Navarro Rifles of Corsicana, which has developed into a Vietnam veterans organization. Arthur will be missed by his family and his many friends. A special thanks to Stan and Joy Wright for all their support and help.
Survivors include his wife, Jan Huffman, of Corsicana; sons Kevin Huffman of Gun Barrel City and Arthur Huffman, who resides in Massachusetts; daughter Jennifer Huffman of Dallas; brothers Johnny Gipson of Rowlett and Edward Gipson, who resides in Kansas; sister Annie Huffman Lambert and her husband Wayne; brother-in- law Felix Thompson of Dallas; seven grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Mr. Huffman was preceded in death by his parents Arthur and Annie Huffman; mother-in-law, Joyce Thompson; and his niece, Ruby Hoover.
