Funeral services Belle Wade Brock, 94, of Killeen, will be 10 a.m. at First Baptist Church, Killeen.
Interment will follow at Killeen city Cemetery.
Lillie Belle Wade Brock was born in Holmes County, Mississippi, February 11, 1918.
She passed away January 15, 2013. She was educated in Belzoni, MS
and attended Mississippi Delta College. She married Howell E Brock
in 1942. She was active with Girl Scouts and Boy Scouts, serving as
Den Mother and Leader. She was active with Civic Community
functions, serving as a volunteer at the Killeen Food Care Center for many years.
She was a member of the Texas Hill Country Unit, Wally Byam Caravan Club
International, where she served as an officer. She was also a member of the
Retired Officers Wives Club at Ft. Hood, Texas. She served as President
of the Protestant Women of the Chapel in Germany. She was a member of
The First Baptist Church of Killeen, where she served on various church committees,
teaching Sunday School for many years and serving as the Sunday School Outreach
Leader and Class Officer.
She was preceeded in death by her husband, Howell E Brock,
2 sisters and 5 brothers.
She is survived by 3 children, Mary Jo Burton and husband
Sonny of Killeen, Sherry Johnson and husband Mike, of Georgetown, Howell N Bubba
Brock and wife Shanna of Killeen, 1 sister, Ollie Wilson of Lake City, TN. 5 Grandchildren
and 3 greatgrandchildren. Visitation will be Thursday, January 17th from 5 to 7 pm at
Harper Talasek Funeral Home.
