Benjamin W. Allison, Jr was born in 1951, in Beaumont TX, to Benjamin and Hilda Allison. He joined the army after high school and served honorably for 22 years. After retirement he received a bachelor’s degree in social work. He spent 10 years working with Communities in School, becoming a mentor to many middle school students.

He was always trying to guide, help, and encourage people, especially his students and young enlisted soldiers.
