Bertha "Birdie" L. Sanchez passed away peacefully at home on June 16, 2026.She was born in Austin, Texas, on August 29, 1944.

She married her husband, Joe Sanchez, on August 15, 1963. Together they traveled the world with their three children, sons Joseph Sanchez and Vincent Sanchez, and daughter Isabel Garcia.

She spent her 81 years making friends everywhere she went, joking and laughing, and spending time with her grandkids. She's at peace now, resting in God's loving embrace.

A visitation will take place on July 8th from 6-8PM with a rosary at 7:00PM. A funeral mass will take place at St Joseph's Catholic Church on July 9th at 10:30AM, with burial to follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
