Bessie Wheatley

A graveside service and burial for Bessie Lee Wheatley, 101, of Whitehouse, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the Killeen Memorial Park with Jim Wheatley officiating.

Ms. Wheatley died Jan. 9, 2018, at a Whitehouse nursing home. She was born Dec. 22, 1916, in Richmond, Va.

She is survived by her son, Jim Wheatley and his wife, Kathy; grandchildren, Emily Hatton, Mindy Ussery, Matthew Wheatley and Christopher Wheatley; and 10 great-grandchildren.

Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Wheatley, Christopher Wheatley, Jim Wheatley, Shawn Hatton, Brock Hatton, Braden Ussery, Tristan Wheatley, Michael Wheatley, Cutter Wheatley and Keller Wheatley.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or the American Diabetes Association.

Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen is in charge of arrangements.
