Billy Hopson

Billy (Bill) Lee Hopson, 89 of Killeen, passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2019. Visitation will be from 9 to 10 am, August 3 and services will follow at 10 am at Harper-Talaskek Funeral Home in Killeen, on 38th street. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery on Rancier Ave.

Bill was born on October 30, 1929 in Killeen, Texas to Clara A. & Fannie Mae Hopson. He graduated from Thrall High School in 1945. He served four years in the Navy from 1948 to 1952. He was in Navy Reserves for two years. Following the Navy, he worked for the US Postal Service and retired in 1987. He liked traveling, watching Dallas Cowboys, and visiting with friends at the mall.

Billy was preceded in death by his beloved son, Charles Asley Hopson, Sr.

There are many relatives and friends to cherish his memory, which are his wife, Nelda of 64 years; sons, Phillip Hopson (Terry) and Gary Hopson, Sr. (Linda); and daughter Pamela Buralli. Bill has 10 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
