She went to many functions, games, celebrations and vacations with them and made special memories.
I am from synagogues and blue collars, from Nebraska and Illinois. I’m from broken traditions and hidden love, producing the most incredible father- my dad. I’m from a loving couple who held hands throughout their life. Seeped in a love of family encircling that couple like a wedding ring. From sadness to joy to “Don’t grieve for me, Bonnie. I’ve had a wonderful life.” A sea of lost faces produced an ocean of love. – Bonnie
Words from a dear friend: Bonnie was a legend. A life-time educator. Lived out giving the shirt off her back. All are always welcome. She was my place. She found the joy and wonder in the ordinary and mundane. She lived 73 years but didn’t ever become 73. If Bonnie was near, you knew. You would definitely be laughing and most likely trying to avoid some sort of innocent trouble. She fought for kids and had a creative and innovative spirit. She was blessed with a mental and physical energy that did circles around me. She could be serious and deep about hard spiritual things and loved Jesus. Always bringing Jesus to the center of the conversation. The hole she is leaving can be filled with what she has given to us. Bonnie’s work of love will continue.
Bonnie was preceded by her parents, Floyd and Lucille Kennell. Survivors include her beloved husband, Ronald Casmer; brothers, Joseph Kennell (Pat), and William Kennell (Judy); children, Holly Wagner (Heath), Heather Presley (Justin), Hope Gereghty (Steven), and Benjamin Casmer (Jamie); grandchildren, Logan Wagner, Bailey Wagner Wood (Taylor), Benjamin Presley, Dylan Presley, Tanner Presley, Israel Overturf, Estelle Overturf, Lucille Gereghty, Mac Gereghty, Dean Gereghty, Kennedy Casmer, Avery Casmer, Landry Casmer, and Caleb Casmer.
