Candelario Flores

May 19, 1954 — March 11, 2022

Killeen

Candelario (CJ) Flores, age 67, went home to be with the Lord on March 11, 2022. CJ was born May 19th, 1954 in Austin, Texas. He was a lifelong resident of Killeen, Texas.

CJ joined the United States Marine Corps in November of 1973. He served proudly and honorably for 22 years.
He retired from the Marine Corps as a Gunnery Sergeant in 1995.

CJ was joined in marriage to his wife Marilee Flores for 22 years whom he always lovingly described as a wife who remained true to her Almighty God in heaven and to her Marine. He and Marilee enjoyed growing in the Lord together by attending Bible study, going to church, and sharing in their early morning daily devotions.

CJ drove a school bus for KISD for 9 years. Before his route each morning, he would faithfully walk the bus, covering it and all of the souls he would transport that day in prayer.

CJ would generously give his time, graciously using his handyman skills to assist others with various projects. He truly had a servant’s heart.

CJ is survived by his wife, Marilee Flores, extended family, and many friends.
