Caren Watson

February 10, 1961 — October 29, 2007

Caren came to pass on Monday, October 29, 2007, after a long battle with cancer. Visitation will be Wednesday October 31, 2007 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home chapel from 6-8 P.M. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Friday at the First Presbyterian Church in Lawton, Oklahoma. Becker Funeral Home will be in charge of the arrangements.

Caren was born February 10, 1961, in Killeen, Texas to Vernon and Ladine Conder Cowan. She graduated from Lawton Senior High School in 1978. She married Parker Watson on May 17th, 1980 in Lawton, Oklahoma. They had two sons, Ryan and Scott and raised them in Lawton, Oklahoma. Later Caren and Parker moved to Killeen in November of 2004. She enjoyed snow skiing, traveling to Michigan, San Diego, and Florida many times to watch her sons play golf, but most of all she enjoyed being with her family.

Caren always opened up her home to many friends, including two foreign exchange students and a niece she cared for from an infant to two years of age. Caren was a beautiful, amazingly giving, loving and kind hearted person who celebrated life each and every day. She shared her passion for life with all those whom she came in contact with. For those who she touched will remember her forever as an angel in their heart.

Survivors include her husband Parker Watson, two sons Parker Ryan Watson, and Scott Derris Watson; Mother Ladine Conder Cowan; Sister Connie Cunningham; Brother Jim Cowan; Mother and Father-in-law Bill and Alice Watson; Daughter-in-law Ashley Hodges; Grandson Cooper Scott Watson; Brother-in-law Randy Covert; Sister-in-law Patsy Cowan; Sister-in-law- D'Ann Watson; five nephews, three nieces, and many relatives and friends in Killeen, Texas and Lawton, Oklahoma. Caren was preceded in death by her Father Vernon Cowan; maternal Grandparents Willie and Ione Conder; and her Uncle Charles Conder.

Caren, we love you and we will miss you. You will forever and ever have a special place in our hearts.
