Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.
Hebrews 11:1
I waited patiently for the LORD and he inclined unto me, and heard my cry.
Psalm 40:1
Funeral services for Carolyn V. Foreman, 55, of Harker Heights, will be at 2 p.m. Friday at Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church Abercrombie location with Dr. Shaun L. Moton officiating. Interment will be at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.
Ms. Foreman died Jan. 26, 2014, at a Temple hospital. She was born April 9, 1958, in Waco.
Mrs. Carolyn V. Hackworth Foreman was born to the parental stewardship of Larry and Betty Eddings on April 9, 1958 in Waco, Texas. She attended elementary school at J.H. Hines, middle school at G.L. Wiley, and graduated from AJ Moore High School in Waco, Texas.
Her pursuit of a fulfilling life would afford her the blessing of meeting and marrying Harold Jamison on November 23, 1977. To the fruit of this union was added the blessing of four children.
Carolyn sealed her eternal destiny in the tender years of her youth when she accepted Jesus Christ as her personal Savior. Affiliated with several churches over the course of various tenures, she settled and united with Marlboro Heights Missionary Baptist Church in 1995. Here, Sister Foreman would authenticate her appreciation for her salvation by employing herself as a door keeper in the House of the Lord. Her passion for people emanating out of her love for her Lord was a blessing beyond description. Her discipline exposed in her selfless service to others despite having to confront significant challenges to her health set a standard for all those who serve the Lord. Her sense of duty exhibited in her determination to fulfill her responsibilities as a door keeper bore witness to the reality that she was perfectly confident, content and complete in her resolve to serve her Lord. This was no doubt because of her love and devotion so often displayed in her intimate praise and worship offered to the Lord. To Sister Foreman, every assignment to serve was an equivalent summons to celebrate the goodness of her Gracious God. Her praise and worship was both contagious and intoxicating as she openly and unashamedly lifted her hands and voice while dancing to the affirmation of victory in the atmosphere over lifes circumstances. Often affirming the Lord as the strength of her life, she was on an immediate mission on her way to fulfilling her ultimate mission as a disciple of Jesus Christ. Everyone blessed by the fragrance of her personality could glean from her pursuit of making the best life under some of the worst of circumstances. This left none any reason to wonder why her favorite biblical theme was Trusting God.
The course of many seasons would uniquely lead to the fulfillment of Gods progressive purpose for her life. Her life would experience significant transitions. One of the most fruitful and fulfilling transitions experienced was her engagement and marriage to Jimmie Foreman on February 14, 2006.
A woman of true character with an emphatic appreciation for the value of responsibility, she believed in the principle of Education for Elevation. Therefore, she attended Community College and graduated from Central Texas College with an Associates Degree in General Studies in 2006. The fruit of her pursuit of employment yielded the blessings of working for the Federal Government, the Commissary as Assistant Manager, and for the Department of Criminal Justice for over fifteen years.
Living her best life on earth, she maintained a lively hope that one day she would be summonsed into the glorious and eternal Presence of her Lord. On Sunday, January 26, 2014 Carolyn answered to the loving voice of her Shepherd calling her from earthly labor to rejoicing in the fruit of her eternal reward.
