Cesar Ventura Mejias, 60 years old, passed away on May 20, 2023, at his home in Harker Heights, Texas, surrounded by his loved ones. A memorial service with military honors will be held on Wednesday, May 31 at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen, beginning at 10 am.

He was born on September 1, 1962, to Pedro and Amelia Mejias in Caguas, Puerto Rico. He married Yolanda Cavasos in Dallas, Texas on December 29, 2018.

He grew up in Puerto Rico and New York. He was a jack of all trades, he loved going to the gym, dancing salsa, watching boxing and in his downtime he would enjoy a cup of coffee and watch the news while spending time with all his grandchildren. Cesar was a very determined and adamant man, loving husband, father, grandfather and friend. He served in the US Army and joined the Army Reserves later on in his life.

Cesar was preceded in death by his father, Pedro Mejias; first-wife, Katherine Martinez; sister, Lidia Mejias; granddaughter, Arianna Espinoza; and great-granddaughter, Aniyah Bonilla.

He is survived by his wife, Yolanda Mejias; mother, Amelia Mejias; daughters, Nayda Mejias(Brad Hollingsworth), Crystal Jimenez(Faustio Jimenez), Jennifer Cano(Felix Cano Sr.), Kendra Mejias and Dora Garcia(Miguel Garcia); sons, Mike Martinez, Adrian Mejias, Matthew Mejias, Roy Ocanas and Eli Ocanas; sisters, Angelina Mejias, Lourdes Mejias and Aida Mejias; brother, Peter Mejias; grandchildren, Christianna Espinoza, Catalina Espinoza, Malichi Mejias, Asya Reyes, Alicia Reyes, Mei-Lin Reyes, Jessica Beltran(Daniel Beltran), Mariah Gonzales, Kristianna Morris, Mathias Martinez, Trinity Mejias, Jorge Mejias, Genesis Mejias, Makayla Cano, Felix Cano Jr., Jesus Oscar Cano, Victoria Cano, Damian Garcia, Destiny Garcia, Savannah Garcia, and Chris Garcia; as well as great-grandchildren, Daniel Beltran, Davian Beltran, Dariel Beltran, Evelyn Beltran, Estella Reyes, Ariella Rivera.
