Charles "Charlie" Hilliard, age 73, passed away from natural causes at his residence in Harker Heights on January 14, 2016.
He was born on July 29, 1942 in San Angelo, Texas. He is the son of Robert M. Hilliard, Rachel Hooten Gray and his step-father Freddy Gray, and was married to the love of his life Winnie Young-Hilliard who preceded him in death in July of 2012.
Charlie worked for Coca-Cola, then with his father-in-law at Young-Hilliard Mobile Homes. He was most known for Charlie Hilliard Mobile Homes. Charlie is an active member of the Maxdale Cowboy Church. He belongs to the Mason Lodge of Killeen 1125, the Scottish Rite, and the Karem Shrine.
He leaves behind his children: Teresa Kight married to Carl Kight of Nolanville, Moe Hilliard married to Marla of Moody, Earl Hilliard of Nolanville, and Guy Hilliard married to Brandy of Harker Heights. His grandchildren: Bart and Lacee Kight; Joshua, Tiffany, and Jordan Hilliard; Shelby Hilliard; and Savanna and Hailey Hilliard. Great grandchildren: C.J. Kight and Loralei Hilliard.
Services are to be held at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas at 2pm Satuarday, January 16, followed by a graveside service at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Nolanville. Visitation is from 6-8 Friday January 15 at the funeral home.
