Chong Sul Everett, of Killeen, Texas passed away on Wednesday, September 2, 2026. She was 83 years old. Chong was born to Si Min Yi and Kim Cha Cho, in South Korea, being the youngest of three daughters.

Chong was a loving wife and mother who cared deeply for her family. She and her husband shared 54 years of marriage, and she was a devoted mother to her daughter, Margarett. Chong spent her life as a homemaker, caring for her family and the home they shared. She was a Christian and a member of St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church in Harker Heights.

Chong is preceded in death by her parents; and her husband, John L. Everett.

Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Margarett Everett.

A visitation will take place on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, from 9:00AM – 11:00AM, at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas. Chong will be laid to rest with her husband at the Central Texas State Veteran’s Cemetery on September 14th, at 9:00AM.
