Claire Bobo

Memorial services for Claire L. Bobo, of Harker Heights, will be held at 6:30 p.m. Friday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen with Father Gonzalo Ferrer officiating.
Mrs. Bobo a loving mother and grandmother passed away on Monday, August 19, 2013 in Belton, Texas.
She was born on December 22, 1925 to the late Franz and Clara Sonderegger in Russau, Switzerland. Claire went to Culinary school and worked as a chef for a hotel in Switzerland. She married Charles Bobo on May 12, 1949 in Washington, D.C. and from this union they were blessed with three daughters, Carolyn, Charlotte and Christine. Claire and Charles were happily married for nearly fifty years until his passing. In 1964 the family moved to Killeen Claire who still loved to bake and cook was known for her great pies. She was a hard working woman who loved working in her yard, bowling, keeping her garden welltended and taking in stray cats. She was known as the Cat Lady of Illinois Avenue.
She was preceded in death by her husband, one daughter, parents, one sister and two brothers.
Survivors include her daughters Carolyn Rhew and Husband Barry of Harker heights Charlotte Paruzinski and her husband John of Belton brother Peter Sonder of Naples, FL 8 grandchildren16 great grandchildren 2greatgreat grandchildren.
