Funeral services for Clement Lee Manson, 73, of Harker Heights, will be at 6pm Friday, Nov 10 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, with Pastor C.W. Whorton officiating. Visitation will be from 4pm-6pm. He will be laid to rest at Killeen Memorial Park & Funeral Home on Saturday, Nov 11 at 9am with military honors.
Clement Lee Manson, nicknamed, Sarge, died Nov 6, 2017, surrounded by his family and friends. He was born Jan 23, 1944, in Los Angeles, California.
He served in the US Army for 22 years before retiring in Harker Heights, TX. His awards include; Meritorious Service Medal, Army Commendation Medal, Good Conduct Medal w/ silver 1 loop, National Defense Service Medal, Armed Forces Expeditionary Medal, Vietnam Service Medal, w/ 2 bronze service stars, NCO Professional Development Ribbon w/ number 3, Army Service Ribbon w/ number 4, Republic of Vietnam Campaign Medal, Vietnam Gallantry Cross Unit Citation w/ palm, Driver & Mechanic Badge, Expert Rifle Badge. He always said, "He was a jack of all trades and a master of none." He worked various jobs mainly in upholstery work, prior to joining his wife at Sargent's Trophy Company until 2007.
He was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Reba Ann Manson, his parents, James and Ida Manson, and 4 brothers, John Clifford Manson, Alfred Manson, Donald Manson, Bobby Manson, and 2 sisters, Helen Louis Mathews, and Dorothy Mae Moore.
He is survived by 1 daughter, Rhodenia Ann (Manson) Mullen, 2 sons John Lee Manson his wife, Katherine Ann Manson, and Christopher Brian (Manson) Close and his wife, Cody Close; two granddaughters Samantha Denise Manson, Jennifer LeeAnn Manson.
