Services for Connie Mae Cochran Reese, 79, of Belton will be 3:00 p.m. Friday, August 14, at the Anchor of Hope Church, Belton, TX with the Rev. Sam Callahan and Rev. Weldon Hicks officiating. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Thursday, August 13 at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home, Killeen, TX. She will be laid to rest at the Killeen Cemetery immediately following the service.
The family invites those that loved Connie to join us in a Celebration of her Life at the residence of Helen Purser, noon, Friday, August 14.
Ms. Reese died Tuesday August 11, 2015 at an Assisted Living Center in Killeen surrounded by her beloved family and friends.
She was born Feb 20, 1936 in Rosebud, TX to Connie and Vera Cobb Cochran. She moved to Killeen during High School and graduated from Killeen High in 1953. She married Brantley Reese on July 30, 1954. She lived in the Central Texas area most of her life.
She worked at the Civilian Personnel Office for a number of years then joined Brantley in opening and operating The Daisy Florist and Nursery of Copperas Cove. They spent several years working for the Federal Government in San Francisco, San Antonio and Fort Hood before retiring to open another florist, The Rosebud. Connie finally retired at age 75 from working for Carothers Homes.
Connie is predeceased by her parents, spouse, two brothers Dean and Ray Cochran and one nephew Cary Cochran. Survivors include her son and daughter in law, Robin and Theresa Reese of Belton; her daughter, Kimberly Parr of Killeen ; former daughter in law, Pam Reese of Jacksonville, FL; three grandsons, Brandon and wife Julie Reese, Weston Reese and John Parr; three great - grandchildren; Caden, Jaycie and Brody Reese as well as many beloved friends.
