Services for Corliss Nell Louya-Brown, 62, will be at noon Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen with burial at 2 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Killeen. BRBRButch Louya passed away to heaven Nov. 4, 2009. She was born Nov. 22, 1946 in Jones County, Miss. to Donald C. Louya and Ruby Nell Busby and was reared in the Wayne County and Strengthford areas of Mississippi. BRBRShe was a graduate of Beat Four High School in 1964, and that same year moved to Killeen. Corliss began her career at Filter Queen of Killeen for 10 years and later became the head teller at Fort Hood Federal Credit Union for 10 years. Then she went on to work at the Sheraton reservation center in Austin for 10 years and later retired. BRBRAlthough our family is grieving for the loss of a wonderful wife, mother and grandmother, we take comfort in knowing that she is no longer suffering and is in Heaven watching over us; and we as a family want you to know how much we will always love you. Corliss also touched the hearts of various family members and friends of Donald C. Louya of Thomasville, N.C. and family members and friends of Ruby Nell Busby of LaurelWayne County, Miss. BRBRCorliss is preceded in death by her parents, Donald C. Louya and Ruby Nell Busby, and a son, Jagala L. Brown. BRBRShe is survived by her loving husband, J. Pepe Brown of Killeen; a daughter, Alicea Brown and granddaughter Ruby Nell of Killeen; and a daughter-in-law, Vickie Brown and grandsons Jacob and Zack of Bedford. BRBRVisitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. BR
