Cornelia Jaramillo passed from this life on November 17th, 2019 in the comfort of her own home.
Visitation services will be Thursday, November 21, from 6-8pm with a Rosary at 7pm at Harper-Talasek in Killeen. Final visitation 9:30-10:30 funeral services at 11am on Friday, November 22 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with burial to follow at Killeen Memorial Park.
Cornelia was born on September 16th, 1936, in Bishop, Texas, to Eugenio and Francisca Salazar.
Cornelia was “everybody’s mom” and known for making the best Mexican Wedding Cookies and Tamales.
Cornelia was united in marriage to Pedro “Pete” Jaramillo and to this union, three children were born.
Cornelia worked for Killeen Independent School District for many years.
She loved to crochet and especially liked the color pink. She also loved playing BINGO!
Those left to cherish her memory are daughters; Linda Thompson, Gloria (Tom) Jacksics; son Jose Jaramillo; grandchildren Pete Thompson, Toni Thompson, Laura (EJ) Montford, and Ryan Jacksics; great-grandchildren Elijah, Segan, and Maddex Montford; sister Grace Salazar; brother Jose “Pepe” Salazar; and several nieces, nephews, and loved ones.
Cornelia was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Pedro; her parents; and six siblings.
