Curt MagnerBRBurial for Curt Magner, 50, of Killeen will be at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at the Killeen City Cemetery followed by a memorial service with Rev. Andrew Green officiating at a gathering and reception at 11:15 a.m. at Grace Lutheran Church in Killeen. BRBRMr. Magner died Dec. 18, 2009, in a Temple hospital after an extended illness. BRBRHe was born in Neu Ulm, Germany, and moved to Fort Hood with his parents in 1959. He graduated from Killeen High School in 1978 and attended Central Texas College, where he obtained a certificate in diesel mechanics. After working in that field and then trying his hand at carpentry, he settled into a long career in the retail sales area, having worked at multiple Goodwill facilities in the KilleenHarker Heights area and most recently at Kohl's department store. BRBRCurt was described by many as a gentle person who would help anyone who needed assistance. He enjoyed joking and bringing out laughter in others. He had a strong faith in God. BRBRHe is predeceased by his father, Sam Magner; his mother, Rosa Magner; and oldest sister, Brigitte Rhodes. BRBRHe leaves behind his fiancee, Dora Rodriguez of Killeen; two sisters, Carol Magner Mitchell of Durham, Conn., and Cathy Magner Snider of Kyle; and five nieces, Barbara Richards of Lewisville, Beverly Huggins of Killeen, Brenda Tincher of Crowley, Bobbie Barrow of New Waverly and Michelle Ellis of Kyle, and 10 great-nieces and great-nephews.
