Memorial services for Chief Warrant Officer-4 Claude Edward King, 93, of Killeen, will be at 2 p.m. Monday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, with the Rev. Skip Blancett and the Rev. Jamie Peterson officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial ParkBRBRKing died April 30, 2008, in Killeen. He was born Feb. 20, 1915, in Marshfield, Mo., where he was raised and educated.BRBRHe worked for Civil Service before joining the Army. He retired in 1968 at Fort Hood as a chief warrant officer-4.BRBRKing was an avid sports fan and a craftsman of woodworking. He had been a resident of Killeen since 1957, and he was a member of First United Methodist Church of Nolanville.BRBRSurvivors include his son, Richard T. King; his stepson, Larry Gerhardt; his daughters, Judith Rimes and Jeane C. Palmer; his stepdaughters, Nadra Moore and Kathy Drumm; seven grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.BRBRVisitation will be one hour prior to services.BRBRIn lieu of flowers, memorials may be sent to either Vista Care Hospice, 819 S.
