David Allen Carson

David Allen Carson, 56 of Harker Heights, passed from this life Friday, August 22, 2025. Private family services will be held at a later date.

David was born on September 24, 1968, in St. Louis Park, Minnesota, to John H. and Eleanor A. Carson. He graduated from Burnsville High School and went on to work as a laminator for Vomela Companies in St. Paul before serving with the U.S. Postal Service in both Harker Heights and Killeen, Texas.

David had a curious and creative spirit. He loved 3D printing and spent countless hours designing and crafting tools, fidget gadgets, home utensils, and other unique projects. A passionate sports fan, he proudly cheered for the Kansas City Chiefs, the Minnesota Wild, and the St. Louis Cardinals. He also found joy in the simple things, gardening, tending to his beautiful rose bushes, grilling, and playing cornhole with family and friends.

Animals held a special place in David’s heart, and the feeling was mutual. Cats, dogs, and all creatures seemed drawn to him. Above all, his greatest joy was his family. He was deeply proud of his children and adored his granddaughter, Evelyn, who was truly the apple of his eye. Known for his warm smile, quick wit, and fun-loving nature, David brightened the lives of everyone around him.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eleanor Carson. David leaves behind his devoted wife, Lara Carson; his children, Ian P. Carson and wife Anastasia, and Holli “Harper” Carson; his brothers, Steven Carson, and John E. Carson and wife Rosalind; his sister, Teresa Weltzin and husband Steve; and his beloved granddaughter, Evelyn Carson.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Harker Heights Pet Adoption or the Animal Humane Society. The family extends their heartfelt thanks to the Baylor Scott & White Killeen Cancer Center for their compassionate care.
