Funeral services for David Vega Cruz, 77, will be at 3 p.m. Thursday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Bishop, Pastor Estrada, and Tencha Young speaking.BRBRBurial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park Cemetery.BRBRHe died Nov. 5, 2007 at a local hospital.BRBRDavid was born June 24, 1930, in La Tinaja de Pastores, Yuriria, Guanajuato, Mexico. He married Elida Reyna in Navasota and moved to the Killeen area in 1962.BRBRDavid was self-employed and the owner of Cruz Trucking.BRBRHe was preceded in death by his wife, Elida Reyna Cruz, and son Steven Cruz.BRBRSurvivors include three sons, Robert Cruz of Killeen, David Cruz of Cedar Hill, Raul I. Cruz of Belton; one daughter, Violet Cruz-Perez of Harker Heights; daughter-in-law, Debbie Cruz; son-in-law, Barney M. Perez: six brothers, Odilon Cruz, Juan Cruz, Agustin Cruz, Guadalupe Cruz, Armando Cruz and Leonel Cruz; five sisters, Olivia Cruz, Maria Luisa Cruz, Angelina Cruz, Angelica and Rosa Cruz; 10 grandchildren, Shaleta, Steven, Amanda, Jazzmine, Phoenix, Robert Jr., Dallas, Valencia, Esteban, and Elecia; and two great-grandchildren, Talayeh and Sierra Rose.BRBRThe family will receive visitors from 6 to 8 p.m. today at the funeral home.
