Dominique Godwin

Dominique Ruth Godwin, 27, passed away on May 7th, 2022, at Baylor, Scott, and White Hospital. Services will be Friday, May 27th, 2022, at 9 a.m. with Pastor Shules Hersh officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen Memorial Park Cemetery.

Dominique was born in Austin, TX on April 5th, 1995, to Una Godwin and grew up in Wells Branch while attending Pflugerville Schools. While attending John B. Connally High School, Dominique focused her studies on culinary arts and was the school mascot. Dominique also has a passion for music and costume makeup. After high school, Dominique Godwin served honorably as a Corrections Officer for the Texas Department of Criminal Justice. She was an avid gamer and streamer. Dominique had a deep love for music and was truly eclectic when it came to her music choices. Dominique was a member of Promiseland Church in Austin, TX. She had a spirit of love, compassion for others, and was quick to be a help. Dominique gave from her heart without fail. She loved hard, but also had a sharp vocabulary in defense if you took her kindness for weakness.

Dominique Godwin was preceded in death by her grandfather, SFC Charles Lester Ferrell (US Army Retired).

Dominique was survived by her parents, Timothy and Una Godwin; grandmother, Dolores Maria Ferrell; aunt, Ursula Regina Ferrell; father, Branden Brown; sisters, Mary Danielle George, Darshay Jordan, and Sasha Reyes as well as the family beagle, Butterscotch.
