Memorial services for Doris Mabel Harper Granny, 73, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Tuesday at HarperTalasek Chapel in Killeen. Burial will follow in Killeen Memorial Park, where she will be laid to rest next to her daughter and son.
Mrs. Harper died Nov. 11, 2011, at a Temple hospital.
She was born May 26, 1938, in Honea Path, S.C.
She was a dedicated seamstress and coowner of Jims Upholstery, 1006 Wells Circle in Killeen, for more than 20 years. She was a devoted caring and dedicated wife, mother and grandmother who loved spending time with her family.
Survivors include her husband, James R. Harper Sr. of Killeen daughter, Deborah Ann Coleman of Killeen son, James R. Harper Jr. and his wife, Bonnie Sue, of Killeen sister, Myrtle Gilbert and family of Anderson, S.C. a brother, Jitterbug Hughes and family of Belton, S.C. six grandchildren three stepgrandchildren and five greatgrandchildren.
She will be sorely missed by all who knew her and especially by her husband of 54 years and the rest of her family and friends.
Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
