Doris Robinson

Services for Doris Irene Robinson, 74, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Friday at St. Joseph Catholic Church with the Rev. Vincent Romuald officiating. Interment will be at Killeen City Cemetery. Mrs. Robinson died July 9, 2011.

Doris Irene Kimble Robinson was born in Baytown on Dec. 9, 2011. She graduated from George Washington Carver High School. She served our country in the U.S. Army. She married her former husband, Frank M. Robinson, and to this union, two children were born: Sydney Irene and Stephanie Nannette.

Mrs. Robinson attended Lee College and graduated with her nursing certificate. She proudly dedicated her life to the nursing profession for over 40 years.

Doris was preceded in death by her mother, Georgia Kimble her sister, Eloda Faye Edwards her brother, John Adams her nephew, John Paul Tyler her aunt, Christine Robinson and her daughter, Stephanie Robinson Washington.

Survivors include her daughter, Sydney PortillaDiggs Sherman of Dallas her sister, Paulette Aiken of Baytown her sister, Nancy Smith Virgil of Guthrie, Okla. her three grandchildren two greatgrandchildren and many other loving nieces and nephews, and loving family members and friends.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. with a vigil service at 7 p.m. today at HarperTalasek Funeral Home, which is in charge of arrangements.
