Dorothy Pauline Cosper, lovingly known as Pauline, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, and friend, passed away Tuesday, March 25, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion at the age of 92. Funeral services will be held at 1 pm on Saturday, April 5 at Harper-Talasek funeral home in Killeen. Burial will follow at Live Oak Cemetery in Youngsport.
Pauline was born on June 25, 1932, to Clarence and Esta Lee Brittain in Maxdale, Texas. In 1947, Pauline married the love of her life, Alfred Cosper, and together they shared many beautiful years filled with joy and commitment.
Pauline’s faith was the foundation of her life. As a devoted member of Skyline Baptist Church for over 60 years, she was a steadfast presence in her church community. She also served with unwavering dedication as a member of the Rebekah Lodge for 49 years, always giving of herself to those around her.
A woman of many talents, Pauline loved to sew, embroider, and found joy in the simple pleasures of life, like watching old westerns and playing dominoes. Her heart, however, found its greatest joy in nature. Pauline’s love for flowers was evident in the way she nurtured her garden, often spending hours outdoors tending to it with care and passion.
But above all, it was her kindness and generosity of spirit that left an indelible mark on everyone who knew her. Pauline cherished the time spent with family and friends, and her warm presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know her.
Pauline is preceded by her parents, Clarence and Esta Lee Brittain; her beloved husband, Alfred Cosper; sons, Fred Cosper and Jerry Cosper; daughters, Lynda Hilbert and Brenda Nash; granddaughter, Jessica Ludwig; grandson, Kenneth Nash; and great granddaughter, Ashley Cosper.
Survivors include her daughters, Susan Carswell and Tricia Ludwig; 13 grandchildren; 29 great grandchildren; and 10 great great grandchildren.
A time of visitation will be held from 5-8 pm Friday, April 4, 2025, at the funeral home.
