Dorothy Jones

Our Mother and Granny, Dorothy R. Jones passed to heaven on June 8, 2011, at a Temple hospital. Services will be on June 14, 2011, 10:00 A.M. at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen.

She was born December 20, 1925, in Stephensville, Texas, to Charles H. and Vada Anderson Richardson. She married Pieter Prins of Dordrecht, Holland on July 25, 1945 in Chicago. She later married Robert J. Jones of Coffeyville, Kansas. She was retired from civil service at Ft. Hood, having worked at the Branch Libraries and C.P.O.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles and Vada Richardson, her brother Charles H. Richardson, sisters Bille Richardson Freasier and Barbara J. Richardson, her daughter, Wanda Jones Timmons, granddaughter Brandy Jones Valdez, and greatgrandson, Kameron Burdette.

She is survived by her daughters, Diana Prins Shelley of Killeen and Cheri Jones McClellan and husband Kenny of Lake Jackson her sister Wanda Riley of San Antonio and her stepson, Bobby Jones and wife Jean of Oyster Creek grandsons Duane E. Shelley and wife Michelle of Killeen, Michael P. Shelley and wife Lisa of Ft. Worth, Brett C. Jones of Killeen greatgrandchildren, Christopher P. Shelley of Ft. Worth, Curtis E. Shelley and Justin D. Shelley of Killeen, Karyngton Burdette, Makenna and Katie Beth Shelley, also of Killeen, Brianna, Nicole, Ethan, Summer, Creed, and Brandy Jones and many beloved nieces and nephews.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 P.M. on Monday at HarperTalasek in Killeen.
