Dr. Arturo Romero Jr., age 64, of Killeen, Texas, passed away surrounded by the love of his family and friends. He was born on July 29, 1961, in Puerto Rico to Arturo Romero Sr. and Ilia Figueroa.
Raised in a close-knit family, Dr. Romero carried the proud roots of his island throughout his life. He completed his medical education at the Ponce School of Medicine in Puerto Rico and went on to build a highly respected career as an OB/GYN at AdventHealth. His dedication to his patients never wavered—he approached each day with compassion, purpose, and an unwavering commitment to the well-being of others.
Dr. Romero had a youthful, joyful spirit that filled every room he walked into. He deeply cherished his family and found his greatest happiness in moments of unity, laughter, and togetherness. Though he made his home in Texas for many years, his heart never left Puerto Rico. Its warmth, rhythm, and soul lived within him always.
We hold onto the comfort of knowing he is now resting in peace. His light, his laughter, and his love will remain with us forever.
Dr. Romero is survived by his parents, Arturo Romero Sr. and Ilia Figueroa; his siblings, Billy Romero, Ilia de Lourdes Romero, and Elizabeth Romero; his children, Víctor Arturo Romero, Diego Arturo Romero, Irmaliz Romero, Patricia Romero, and Paola Romero; as well as many extended family members and friends who will forever cherish his memory.
