Elena Villegas Scire, 77, of Killeen, Texas, passed away on March 21, 2026.

She was born on February 9, 1949, in the Philippines to Hermogenes Villegas and Lucila Lumanag Villegas. Elena devoted much of her life to caring for others. She worked as a nurse aide, caregiver, and homemaker, roles that reflected her compassionate and selfless nature.

Elena found joy in life’s simple and meaningful moments. She loved to cook, garden, sew, and spend time with her children and grandchildren. Her garden was a place of peace, where she enjoyed planting flowers and tending to her plants. She also cherished making blankets for her children and grandchildren, creating lasting memories with her family, and lovingly caring for her husband and mother. Elena had a beautiful heart and a natural gift for nurturing those around her, always putting others before herself.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Hermogenes and Lucila Villegas.

Elena is survived by her loving husband, Mark Linsly Scire; her sons, Arnel Villegas Soliman and Aristotle Villegas Soliman (Jan Soliman, wife); and her daughter, Shastine Alexandria Scire (Matthew Cameron, husband). She also leaves behind ten grandchildren (Rudy Santos, Tayler Santos, Autumn Soliman, Tyler McNamee, Alexander Soliman, Shastine Soliman, Tiffany Soliman, Alyssa Soliman, Luna Alexia, and Kyra Adelaide) who will continue to carry her love and legacy forward.

Elena will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the warmth she brought into the lives of those who knew her. Her love for her family and her gentle spirit will never be forgotten.
