Our loving mother and grandmother Elisabeth Braun, 88, went to dance with Jesus February 7, 2015. Liz was a faithful servant of the Lord. One thing you can believe she would be at church all day if she could. Liz was born in Germany in 1926, where she was placed in an orphanage at 6 months old. She had 9 brothers and sisters that got divided. Four were kept and five placed in an orphanage, she was one of the five. Even though she had a difficult life she still loved the Lord and tried her best to help others. Liz had one emotion "Happy". Most people describe her as a "sweet spirit" "Peaceful", Loving. She was so much more to us. Liz worked for the Department of Defense while in Germany, where she received several accolades for her work ethic, and acknowledged for her being placed in strenuous conditions and surpassed everyone. Liz also worked for Mayflower 15 years, and received awards for most dependable worker. She also was a very active member in her community where she received several awards for appreciation of service. Liz was also a personally requested packer for Fort Hood.
She was preceded in death by both her parents, husband Harry R. Braun. She is survived by three children, Anusia Johnson, Thomas Klis, Frankie (Carol) Braun; three grandchildren, Christy (Chris) Angle of Charlotte, NC; Sherry (Savorn) Keo of Charlotte, Marcia Kovalchik of Killeen, TX; and four great-grandchildren, Kylea, Alexandra, Arianna, and Lucas..
