Elizabeth Diane Maldonado, 34 of Harker Heights, passed away Friday, June 14, 2024, at Scott & White Hospital in Temple. Services will be held on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in Killeen on 2nd and Mary Jane, with a visitation starting at 10 am and funeral to follow at 12 pm noon. Burial will be in North Belton Cemetery.
Elizabeth was born December 13, 1989, to Pete Gonzales and SanJuana Contino in Waco, Texas. She married Jose Maldonado in 2014. Elizabeth got her GED in Gatesville, Texas. She was a loving and caring daughter that thought of everyone else before her own wants or needs. She was the peacemaker and organizer of her siblings. She was most happy being surrounded by her family and friends. Her laugh and attitude toward life were infectious. She was a beacon of light and love to everyone she knew. She is gone far too early from this world and will be sorely missed by her husband, parents and siblings. Nothing can replace her or her loving connection to those she knew or was related to. Elizabeth loved penguins, anime, Chinese dramas, and the fact that Magneto and Rouge are now a couple. Just kidding, she was all Rouge and Gambit. She loved all her fur babies to the point of excess. She loved her spouse beyond measure.
Those left to honor and cherish her memory are her parents, Pete Gonzales, SanJuana Contino, and Shawn Contino; husband, Jose Maldonado; siblings, Mandy Thompson, Pete Gonzales III, Juan Gonzales, Danny Gonzales, Maria Lunt, Adam Gonzales, and Steven Gonzales as well as their spouses and children; and all of her cousins, nieces and nephews.
