Elizabeth Mraz

Elizabeth Anne passed away on 09/06/2016 at the Christopher House in Austin, Texas after a lengthy illness. Elizabeth was born 01/10/1950 at Lawton, Oklahoma to James R. Vodrey and Marvel Mae Barr. She attended schools in Copperas Cove, Texas and graduated Cum Laude from Sam Houston State University with a bachelor degree in political science. Elizabeth enjoyed a long and distinguished career with the Texas Workforce Commission as an executive and an Administrative Law Judge.

Elizabeth was preceded in death by her father, James Ronald Vodrey and Mother, Marvel Mae Barr and Stepfather, Melvin Wade Sides. She married Frank B. Mraz formally of Killeen, Texas on 03/23/1990 in Conroe, Texas.

Survivors include her loving husband Frank B. Mraz of 26 years, her son Michael Moticha and his daughter Emilie and daughters Melanie Lynn Rehak and husband David of San Marcos, Texas and Kathryn Kvol and her husband Jason of Laurel, Nebraska. Her brothers Gibson V. Vodrey of Corpus Christi, Texas, Marven Vodrey and Wife Teresa Evans of Killeen, Texas and John W. Vodrey and his Wife Carol Ann Young of Gatesville. She had several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

Elizabeth requested no services and will be cremated. Harper Talasek Funeral Home of Killeen, Texas is in charge of arrangements.

Elizabeth will be sorely missed by those who mourn her passing, but take comfort in knowing she is receiving a Heavenly reward after a life well lived.
