Services for Elwanda Marie Edwards, 85, of Killeen, will be 10 a.m. Wednesday at the Church of Christ of Killeen with Boyce Edwards and Dan Carter officiating. Interment will be at the Killeen City Cemetery.BRBRMrs. Edwards died March 14, 2009, at a local hospital. She was born May 21, 1923, in Bell County.BRBRMrs. Edwards worked as a bookkeeper in civil service on Fort Hood, spent many years in the banking industry and most recently worked in the antique business. She was an excellent cook and seamstress and loved to garden. She loved spending time with her family.BRBRMrs. Edwards was preceded in death by her late husband, Lee O. Edwards, her parents and three brothers.BRBRShe is survived by sons, Boyce Lee Edwards Sr., of Killeen and Rocky James Edwards, of Salado; daughter, Anniece Bane, of Killeen; sisters, Charlotte Hiliard, of Hamilton; Rita Clayton, of Garland; Patsy Lindsey, of Mooreland, Okla.; Peggy Kennon, of Camden, Tenn.; 9 grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.BRBRVisitation will be 6 to 7:30 p.m. Tuesday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen.BR
