Elzie Lee Braddy, 68, was called home to rest in God’s loving arms on November 26, 2023. Elzie was born on September 21, 1955, in Tennille, Georgia to the late Robert Lee Braddy and Minnie Mae Braddy. He served in the U.S. Military for 7 years. Elzie then worked for the U.S. Prison System for 10 years. After retiring, he worked for the Temple, TX Water Department retiring and finally returning to the U.S. Prison System before retiring for a final time.

Elzie lived a happy and peaceful life with his wife Lori Braddy for 40 years. His happiest moments were with family coming together laughing, listening to music, playing cards, and watching his grandchildren play. Elzie loved seeing his grandkids every morning, but the thing he loved most was seeing his loving wife’s smile every day. Elzie was an amazingly strong man who loved with open arms. He will be forever loved, remembered, and missed.

Elzie was preceded in death by his parents, seven sisters, and one brother.

Elzie leaves in his wake his loved wife, Lori Braddy; a sister, Juanita and husband, James Boyd; brothers, Sanders and his wife, Jean Braddy, Sanford and his wife, Catherine Braddy, James Lee Braddy, Robert Braddy Jr.; his children, Wendy Braddy, Jeffery Braddy, Aaron and his wife, Tiffany Braddy, Sonia Braddy, Christiaan Braddy, Elijah and his wife, Yolanda Braddy, Roderick and his wife, Christina Braddy, Ron Allen, Lawanda Allen, Fredrick Braddy; 33 grandkids, 38 great-grandkids, and a host of nieces, nephews, and other relatives and friends.
