A Mass for Emilie Leona Hogan, 90, of Killeen, will be at 9 a.m. Saturday at St. Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church, with Father Richard O'Rourke and Father Peter Shin as celebrants. Interment will be at Seaside Memorial Park in Corpus Christi.BRBRMrs. Hogan, a resident of The Rosewood Retirement Community in Killeen, passed away Feb. 18, 2009, at a Temple hospital. She was born Dec. 21, 1918, in Poth, to William F. and Louise Bubela Manak.BRBREmilie was a graduate of Incarnate Word Academy in Corpus Christi. She was employed as a bookkeeper with Civil Service at the Naval Air Station for 20 years before retiring to Harker Heights and later to Killeen.BRBREmilie loved to crochet and made many beautiful afghans. She was active with the Boy Scouts and served as a den mother for many years.BRBRMrs. Hogan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Edwin Hogan; her parents; and her daughters, Patricia Ann Hogan and Sandra Kaye Hogan Folta.BRBRShe is survived by her sons, Joseph E. Hogan Jennifer of Harker Heights and Richard A. Hogan Jean of Portland, Ore.; three grandchildren, Lisa Hogan of Irving, Tracy Scrudder Marcus of Coppell and Christopher Hogan Jessica of Harker Heights; four great-grandchildren, Anakin Hogan and Colton, Coby, and Campbell Scrudder; her sister, Doris Fealy Mike of Beeville; her brother, Bill Manak of Corpus Christi; and many friends.BRBRVisitation will be from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, with Father Peter Shin officiating the rosary at 6:30 p.m.BRBRIn lieu of flowers, please make donations to St. Paul's building fund.BRBR
