Eva Parmley

December 23, 1929 — October 17, 2018

Mrs. Eva Marie Britt Parmley was born December 23, 1929 in Pilot Point Texas.
Her parents were R.C. and Laura (Hammons) Britt. Marie lost her Mother at the tender young age of
13 from which she never truly recovered. She was one of six children, all whom have preceded her in death.
Marie moved to Ada, Oklahoma after graduating from Sanger High School in 1948.
There she began her work history which included several years at a glass manufacturing company and as a Civil Service employee at Ft. Polk, Louisiana and Ft. Hood, Texas .
While working at Ft. Hood she met the love of her life and married Kenneth Harold Parmley.
In marrying Kenneth, she became an instant Mother to two little stepdaughters, Judy and Heidi.
She would love, care and worry over these two little girls as if she had given birth to them.
She continued working a few more years before becoming a fulltime Mother and housewife.
Marie loved landscaping and flowers and had the most beautiful yard in the neighborhood.
As an accomplished seamstress Marie made the girls clothes when they were young and then used the scraps to make beautiful quilts.
Marie was to lose her love Kenneth in 1999 and never quit missing or loving him.
Her new joy in life began with the birth of her grandchildren, Jill Marie, Kenny and Jennifer.
Her heart and love couldn't have been any fuller. She was the best grandmother in the world.
Later, when Judy remarried she would gain a son-in-law, Steve Morgan, whom she absolutely adored and two new grandsons Michael and Billy whom she also became very fond of.
Marie felt so proud to be loved by all her new family members Kellie Freeman, Maria Morgan, Brad Garrison and Sean Denny.
Within a few years she had great grandkids to fill her heart with pride and joy!
Her new loves were Ava, Collin, Abbigail, Shyloh, Knox, Gianna, Summer, Caleb and Winter!
We all have been blessed to have had her in our lives!
Mom was so loving and forgiving and generous with her heart and time.
She was truly the heart of this family. We will miss her more than words can say.
A memorial will be held in her honor November 3rd at 4:00 p.m. at the Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen, Texas.
