Graveside services for Eva Wilhelmine Koenig Smith will be held on Thursday 9AM, at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery, in Killeen. Visitation will be Wednesday at HarperTalasek Chapel from 68PM.
Born October 24, 1921 in OberMorlen, Germany to Anton and Eva Elizabeth Feuerstein Koenig.

She married Frank Herbert on July 2, 1955, in Stuttgart, Germany and were married for 61 years.
Survivors include Melanie Plott and her husband Foyster of Blairsville, GA Martina Picerno and her husband Gino of Germany Rose Rea and her husband, Donald, of Harker Heights Christine Kelly and her husband, James, of Killeen Elizabeth Smith of Gatesville and Ellen Welch and her husband, Otis, of Moody 17 grandchildren 28 great grandchildren and two greatgreat grandchildren.
Eva was preceded in death by her husband, parents, and sister Anna Maria Christina Hill.
She worked as a secretary in sales, was a home maker, and an avid gardener, she loved her flowers.
