Evone Gaines

Evone Ross Gaines, 91, of Killeen, Texas passed away on February 21, 2022 at Scott & White Hospital in Temple, Texas. Visitation and Memorial Service will be held Saturday, March 5th, at 10:00 AM at Harper Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen with Pastor Martin Holland officiating. Burial will be Monday, March 7th, at 10:00 AM at the Central Texas State Veteran Cemetery.

Evone was born December 13, 1930 to Thomas and Georgia Ross in Evergreen, Alabama. She grew up with 6 siblings Floyd, LilaMae, Hazel, Myrtle, Onedia, and Ralph (Buddy). She later moved to Killeen, Texas where she lived her adult life. She loved working in the yard with her flowers and plants, going fishing and spending time with family. She was married to her husband John for 54 years. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church of Killeen. She loved her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren with all her heart.

Survivors include the following: daughter Sandra Morris of Frankfort, Kentucky, daughter Kathy Butler of Killeen, son Edward Beabout of Kempner, Texas, and deceased children Allen Beabout and Raymond Beabout; Grandchildren Brian, Jason, Amber, Michelle, Krystal, Shannon, Shawna, and Justin; thirteen great grandchildren and loving neices and nephews.
