Florence Jones

Born August 13, 1939 in Scotlandneck North Carolina, where she grew up and was educated. She lived and worked in Norfolk Virginia for over 30 years. She moved to Killeen, Texas in 2003. Florence welcomed folks with kindness and love. If you had a need and she could provide, it would be done. Our mother cared for life and loved to enjoy it , and would share lifes lessons with others. BRShe is survived by two sisters, Grace Edmondson of Maryland, and Marie Clark of Scotlandneck, North Carolina; One son, Raymond Danford Jones of Norfolk, Virginia; three daughters, Belinda Faye Mills and Velinda Gaye Mills both of Killeen, Texas, Vernetha Lorraine Mills of San Antonio, Texas. She is also survived by her grandchildren, Bruce Jason Mills, Raymond Kwame Pitchford of Killeen, Texas; Nakeyah Jones of Norfolk, Virginia; three great-grandchildren and a host of relatives and friends

Florence is preceded in death by her mother, Berthora Clark and father Willie Whitaker.

The family wishes to thank everyone with deep appreciation for the many expressions of prayers, concern and kindness shown to us during the loss of our beloved mother, Florence.
