Forest Edward Price, Jr., age 72 of Harker Heights, passed from this life Thursday, August 8, 2024. Services will be held at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home in Killeen on Wednesday, August 21, 2024, with a visitation from 12 - 1 pm, and burial will follow in Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery at 2 pm.
Forest was born on April 30, 1952, to Forest Edward Price Sr.and Catherine Estella Price in Fort Hood, Texas. He married Lorrie Price on July 24, 1987. Forest graduated from Killeen High School in 1970. He attended college at Texas State Technical Institute. Forest was a proud Veteran of the United States Army where he worked as a mechanic and served around the world. After his time in the military, he was employed with the Texas Department of Criminal Justice.
Forest had many hobbies and interests. He was a lifelong Boy Scout. After being promoted to Eagle Scout, he became a leader, eventually becoming District Commissioner. He also enjoyed shooting and all things firearms, including restoring firearms, it was a hobby that he loved. He also liked building and driving RC cars. He restored a Dodge M37 military truck.
Forest was a great man who always helped those in need. He was a loving husband, father, and friend. He will be greatly missed.
Forest is preceded in death by his parents, Forest and Catherine,and brother, Timothy Price.
Survivors include his wife, Lorrie; son, George Price; daughter, Catherine Price; brother, Christopher Price; and two grandchildren, River Price, and Finn Price.
