Services for retired U.S. Army Sgt. 1st Class Forrest M. Hayman, 54, of Temple, will be at 11 a.m. Thursday at Saint Paul Chong Hasang Catholic Church, with Father Richard O'Rourke officiating. Burial with full military honors will follow at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.BRBRMr. Hayman died April 13, 2008, in a Temple hospital. He was born Jan. 20, 1954, in Newport, R.I., where he was educated.BRBRHe served in the U.S. Army for 20 years until his retirement as a Sgt. 1st Class in 1994. His military awards include the Army Commendation Medal with two Oak Leaf Clusters; Good Conduct Medal Clasp, silver; National Defense Service Medal with bronze star; Army Achievement Medal with Oak Leaf Cluster; Noncommissioned Officer Professional Development Ribbon with number three; Overseas Service Ribbon with number five; Army Service Ribbon; and Expert Rifle Badge.BRBRSurvivors include his sons, Jason L. Hayman of South Korea and John M. Hayman of Harker Heights; and his sister, Patricia McFarland of Charlestown, S.C.BRBRHarper-Talasek Funeral Home of Killeen is in charge of services.
