George Breeden

Funeral services for George D. Dee Breeden, 87, of Killeen, will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, with Pastor John Abbey officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.BRBRMr. Breeden died March 4, 2009, in a local nursing home. He was born May 19, 1921, in Jarrell.BRBRHe moved to Killeen at the age of 6. He was a driver for the sanitation truck for the City of Killeen. He was an avid gardener as well as a handyman. He sold produce at his home and shared it with his neighbors. He also loved fishing and hunting.BRBRMr. Breeden was preceded in death by his parents, George W. and Annie P. Breeden; his wife, Daisy M. Breeden; three brothers; one sister; and one great-grandchild.BRBRHe is survived by his daughters, Darlene Johnson of Belton, Allene Hoover of Killeen, Sue Martin of Rush Springs, Okla.; his brothers, Pete Breeden of Drain, Ore., Sam Breeden of Jonesboro; his sister, Lorene Lindsey of Belton; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and eight great-great-grandchildren.BR.
