Geraldine Vick

Memorial services for Geraldine (Geri) Vick, 74, of Nolanville will be at 11:00 a.m. Monday at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.

Geraldine Ellen Vick (Geri) passed away June 16, 2015 due to illness at her home in Nolanville, Texas.

She was born January 7, 1941 in Santa Fe New Mexico to Kenneth L. and Margaret J. Hall of Albuquerque New Mexico.

After graduating from Albuquerque High School in 1958, she left N.M and traveled the world from Japan to most of Europe and back to Killeen, Texas.

She married the love of her life Harvey D. Vick in 1989, and they settled together in Nolanville, Texas, until his in death on June 25, 2010.

A hard worker all her life, Geri worked as a telephone operator for many years, retired from D.P.W after17 years of service, and continued working for another 5 years at Fort Hood Housing Authority until her final retirement.

A friend to everyone, she was loved by her family, friends and all who knew her.

The family would like to offer a special thanks to the Scott & White Hospice team for the loving care of our mother and a thank you to Harper& Talasek Funeral Home for helping our family through this hard time.


Survivors include her brother Kenneth Hall and his wife Carolyn, of Albuquerque; Daughter; Elaine Thomas and her husband George, of Colorado Springs, CO; son; Michael Wilson and his wife, Beverly of Anson, TX; daughter; Brenda Mecom of Temple, TX; daughter; Kerry Turner of Nolanville, TX; son; Joe Mecom of Nolanville, TX. She leaves behind a legacy of 11 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren.
