Services for retired Chief Warrant Officer-3 Harry J. Ducote Jr., 84, of Killeen, will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Harper-Talasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen, with Deacon Michael Aaronson officiating. Interment will follow at 1 p.m. at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery.BRBRDucote died May 4, 2008, in an Austin hospital. He was born Nov. 8, 1923, in New Orleans.BRBRHe went into the U.S. Army in 1941, and he served in World War II and the Korean War.BRBRIn 1946, he married Margaret Gremillion. Ducote and his family moved to Killeen and he retired from the Army at Fort Hood in 1962. He then went to work for Civil Service at the Directorate of Logistics as a supply technician, retiring in 1985.BRBRHe was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church.BRBRSurvivors include his wife, Margaret Ducote of Killeen; his daughters, Corliss Baker and her husband, Richard, of Round Rock and Mona Miller of Killeen; his grandchildren, Alan Cowen, Margaret Foster, and Lisa Majed; and his great-grandchildren, Amanda, Donald, Kristina, Travis, Adam and Zain; and his great-great-grandchild, Skyla.BRBRMemorials may be sent to St. Joseph Catholic Church.
