Henry Booker

January 2, 1951 — December 11, 2015

Henry Patrick Booker was born in Marietta, Georgia on January 2, 1951 to Stanley and Ruth (Swanson) Booker.

Henry accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior when he was a young boy.

He was raised and attended school in Marietta, Georgia. He entered the U.S. Army at Atlanta, Georgia in November 1977; and he received an honorable discharge at Fort Hood, Texas in May 1982. He remained in Killeen, Texas until his death on December 11, 2015.

Henry loved working with his hands and could do almost anything. His favorite occupation was long distance truck driving. As an 18 wheeled truck driver Henry traveled to 48 states and Canada. During 2004 to 2007, Henry drove heavy load tractor trailers in Iraq.

Henry loved the outdoors; and his favorite pastimes were hunting and fishing. He also loved to cook and barbecue; and he loved cooking for people. He had a generous heart, and he helped people whenever he was needed.

Henry will forever be remembered by his sister, Ann Minnifield, his brother, Stanford Booker (Linda), his children, Contessa Booker Brown (Gregory), Clarissa Booker (Anthony Bell), Camille Williams and Neva Booker; his grandchildren, Shaniqua, Anessia, Anthony Henry, and Elijah. He will forever be remembered by his former wife, friend, and companion, Claire E. Booker along with many other close friends and family. Henry touched many lives during his time here with us.
