Honor Shorey

Funeral services for Honor Mary Shorey, 80, of Nolanville, will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at HarperTalasek Funeral Home Chapel in Killeen with Father Vicnent Chacko officiating. Burial will follow at Killeen City Cemetery.

Mrs. Shorey died June 3, 2011, at a local hospital. She was born Jan. 16, 1931, in Boston, Mass. A homemaker and loving mother and grandmother, she was educated in Boston she married Arnold Shorey in 1959 and they moved to the Killeen area in 1967.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Arnold daughters, Diane MacNeil and Cheryl Wilson three brothers and one sister.

Survivors include her sons, George MacNeil and his wife, Terri, of Menominee, Mich., Roger Shorey and his wife, Diane of Austin, Stephen Shorey of Greenville, S.C. daughter, Ann Shorey of Dickinson, N.D. 16 grandchildren 22 greatgrandchildren and one greatgreatgrandchild.

Memorials may be made to the VFW memorial fund at your local post.

Visitation is from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at HarperTalasek Funeral Home in Killeen, which is in charge of arrangements.
