James Louis Duncan was born July 16, 1952, in Shreveport, Louisiana to James and Mary Duncan. He was the first child of seven children.
He received an honorable discharge from the United States Army on June 24, 1974. During his tenure in the U.S. Army he served to protect our country in the Vietnam War. He received an honorable discharge from the Federally Recognized Army National Guard on October 8, 1993.
-He was dedicated to serving his community as a cab driver for the Killeen Cab Company for 38 years and also graduated from cosmetology school.
He leaves to cherish his memories his sons: James Louis Duncan Jr. and his wife Natalia of Killeen and James Louis Duncan III and his wife Kendria of Temple; three sisters; Mary E. Tolen and her husband, Darryl of Arlington, TX; Diane Duncan-Scates of Killeen, TX and Nancy Smith and her husband, Darius of Killeen, TX; two brothers, Don Ray Duncan of Fort Worth, TX and David L. Duncan and his wife, Terry of Dover, DEL;
Fourteen grandchildren, a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
He is preceded in death by his parents, James and Mary Duncan, and his brother Robbie Duncan.
